I guess that is the question most of us that are struggling with our weight usually ask,right? Well it is a fair question but weight is a subject not understood by many and misunderstood by many as well due to the question being answered wrong! Okay here I go I read this somewhere a while back which was posted by some fitness expert who explained it like this (or at least something similar :-) ) Most people are under the impression the less food they eat the more weight they will lose, but in actual fact that is quite the opposite. Your body stores food for energy right, now if you going to starve yourself or eat very little during the day your body as a defense mechanism will start storing every little food it gets for energy because its getting so little in the first place. So instead of losing weight you will in fact gain weight as your body will be storing the energy (fat) . When I read this it really made a lot of sense to me! So what is the trick here then,how do we start losing weight? I would think instead of eating to little or starving ourselves we should be eating more often, and more healthier. Instead of eating 3 times a day we should be eating at least 5 times a day. With the 3 main meals being breakfast,lunch & supper and the remaining meals being the in between snacks. Now the trick here is to time your meals at least 3 hours apart. So what's the purpose of this you ask? Well you will start "training your body to eat" so once you into the swing of things you body will start getting hungry every 3 hours which mean you wont be eating unnecessarily. Make sense right!!
